GOVERNMENT APPROVES REOPENING OF TOCUMEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WITH CONTROLLED OPERATIONS
In order to allow the departure of passengers from Panama and the transit of passengers, the government authorized the establishment of a Controlled Operations Center for the Interconnection of International Commercial Aviation at the Tocumen International Airport. Foreign passengers who need to return voluntarily to their country will be allowed to leave Panama, and the transit of passengers through Tocumen International Airport will be admitted on a limited basis, as long as they are not more than 6-hour-flight.
Regarding the entry of passengers, this regulation establishes that it will be controlled with the prior authorization of the Ministry of Health, who will be able to approve or deny the arrival of each flight according to the level of spread of the Covid-19 in the country of origin, the status epidemiology of the country of departure, the number of passengers and their health condition.
All flights incuded in this operation must be presented and reported by the air operators to the national authorities. Once authorized by the Ministry of Health, these flights can only be used for the purposes described in the regulation.

THE ATLANTIC COAST OF PANAMA HAS BECOME A SAFE REFUGE
In Linton Bay Marina, Mamey Island, Cabra and Isla Grande on the Costa Arriba of the province of Colón, there are around 150 refugee boats, in the middle of COVID, complying with sanitary measures and facilitating the delivery of products, contributing to this way to move the economy of the region.
